2.5D cQED Coherence: Exploring Drawbridge Transmon Coherence

Zlatko K. Minev

Research talk · 2015 · 26 pages

A group-meeting style research talk on a multilayer (2.5D) architecture that combines qubits and whispering-gallery-mode resonators using only wafers. It reports proof-of-concept device parameters, improves dephasing with dynamical decoupling and reconstructs a noise spectrum, and studies quasiparticle injection with tracked qubit jumps, suggesting quasiparticle diffusion and trapping by vortices as a plausible explanation of the fast equilibration.

  • Goals of the 2.5D multilayer architecture and the wafer-assembled whispering-gallery resonator
  • System parameters and the photon-number-splitting regime; storage T1 from parity measurements
  • Dynamical decoupling as a noise filter to extend T2 and reconstruct the noise spectrum
  • Quasiparticle injection experiments with quantum-jump readout, compared across qubit types

Summary and key points drafted by a language model from the slides, not yet reviewed by me. The slides are the source.
